Mission
Our mission is to provide materials for the spiritual edification
of the NHPC congregation, in accordance with Scriptural injunctions
such as Ephesians 4:11f, 2 Timothy 3:16-7.
Hours of Operation
The library will be open every Sunday
before the church service, between church and Sunday school, and after church. Specific times TBA.
During off-hours, self-service checkout and return will be available whenever the church is open.
Checkout Policy
Items may be checked out for a period of two weeks.
Acquisitions / Donations Policy
We welcome donations of books and other items to the NHPC church library.
To meet the library's mission statement,
the selection of all materials will be made by the library committee,
following but not limited to the following guidelines:
1. Does the item agree with NHPC and PCA doctrines and traditional creeds such as the Westminster Confession?
Otherwise, is the item supportive of evangelical principles and not in conflict with these church doctrines?
2. Does the item have value for the spiritual edification of church members?
3. Is the item of a high moral quality?
4. Does the item have specific usefulness for members of the church?
5. Does the item have high literary and technical quality?
6. Is the physical condition of the item acceptable?
All materials donated to the library become permanent additions to the collection.
Donated materials that are not approved shall be disposed of by the library committee in any manner deemed appropriate.
Issues regarding acquisitions which are not resolved by the library committee will be referred to the NHPC ministry team or the session.
Monetary gifts are welcome. The donor and library committee may confer on the items to be purchased in accordance with the library's acquisitions policy.
A tax-deductible receipt is available upon request.
